British Columbia British Columbia is a Canadian province located in western part of Canada.It is also the third largest province of Canada. The other two are Quebec and Ontario. British Columbia is also popularly known as BC. Victoria is the capital of BC. Victoria was named after Queen , who established the British Columbia colony in 1858. Pacific Ocean forms the coastline of BC and the rugged Cascades mountains extends from Washington state of North America to BC adding more beauty to the province.BC is bordered by US state of Alaska towards its northwest,Washington, Idaho and Montana which are also US states towards its south. Towards its noth lies the territory of Yukon and Northwestern territories of Canada and Alberta Province to the east. BC has many cities but the most populated is Vancouver city forming 60 percent of its population . Vancouver is also the main metropolitan area in BC. BC was also the host of winter Olympic games in 2010 held in Whistler. British Columbia has abunance of beauty. Infact BC is one of the most scenic province in Canada . Each year millions of tourist visit BC from within the Canada and around the World as well. BC has one of the most flourished tourism industry in Canada. BC offers a vast variety of attractions and activities to its visitors.
