Tower of London is a historic monument in central London, on the north bank of the Thames. It is located in the London Borough of Tower Hamlets and is separated from the eastern edge of the city of London, Tower Hill.

The laboratory in which Alexander Fleming discovered penicillin has been restored as a small state in 1928 and incorporated into a museum of discovery and his life and work. It is open Monday to Thursday from 10:00-13:00 and you can visit by appointment outside these hours. The museum is a member of the London museums Health and Medicine.
